Terms of Service

Last updated June 6, 2026. Questions: [email protected].

Terms of Service · Privacy Policy · Refund & Cancellation

Welcome to squiz. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "your", or the "Customer") and squiz ("squiz", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the website at squiz.sh and the squiz service (the "Service"). squiz is operated as a sole proprietorship based in Israel.

By creating an account, installing the squiz agent, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organization.

Payments for paid plans are processed by our reseller, Paddle, acting as the Merchant of Record. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle's terms (see Section 4).

1. The Service

squiz measures the real cost per token of self-hosted large-language-model (LLM) inference. A lightweight agent runs alongside your own inference engine (for example vLLM, SGLang, or TGI), reads your engine's /metrics endpoint, measures your cost-versus-concurrency frontier, and reports the results to your dashboard. The agent never sits in your request path and never reads your prompts or request contents. Any telemetry sent to squiz is opt-in and anonymized, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service provides measurements, estimates, and configuration recommendations derived from your engine's telemetry and the cost inputs you supply (such as your GPU price per hour). These outputs are provided for your information and decision-making; actual results depend on your hardware, configuration, and workload. squiz does not warrant any particular level of cost saving.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password and API keys confidential, and for all activity under your account. Please notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorized use. We store passwords only as salted hashes and API keys only as hashes; you are responsible for safeguarding the full key, which is shown to you only once.

3. Plans and fees

The Service is offered in tiers:

Prices are stated in US dollars and exclude taxes, which are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout. We may change prices or plan features; changes take effect at your next renewal and we will give reasonable advance notice. The features included with each plan are described on our Pricing page.

4. Billing, payments, and Merchant of Record

Our order process for paid plans is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all such orders, provides customer service for billing inquiries, and handles returns. Paddle processes payments and calculates, collects, and remits applicable sales tax, VAT, and GST. A "Paddle" descriptor will appear on your bank or card statement. Your purchase is governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms, and you must accept Paddle's terms at checkout.

5. Subscriptions, auto-renewal, and cancellation

Pro is a recurring monthly subscription. It renews automatically each month and your payment method is charged the then-current fee for each monitored deployment until you cancel. The renewal price, billing frequency, and cancellation method are disclosed to you before you complete payment. You can cancel at any time from your billing page or through Paddle (see your receipt email or paddle.net). Cancellation stops future renewals; your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to Free. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service unlawfully or in violation of any applicable law or third-party right; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; (d) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent the law expressly permits; (e) resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as agreed in writing; or (f) connect a metrics endpoint or URL you are not authorized to access. You are solely responsible for your own inference infrastructure, engines, models, and data.

7. Your data and privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. You retain all rights in your data. You grant us a limited license to process the data you provide and the anonymized telemetry you choose to send, solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service. You can export or delete your account data at any time from your settings.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, dashboards, cost models, and documentation — and all related intellectual property are owned by squiz. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes. The squiz name and logo are our marks, and these Terms grant no right to use them. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without restriction.

9. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the Free tier is provided without any service-level commitment. We may add, modify, or discontinue features, and may perform maintenance, with reasonable notice where practicable.

10. Disclaimers

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. squiz does not warrant that the measurements, estimates, or recommendations the Service produces will be accurate for every configuration, or that following them will achieve any particular cost saving. Nothing in this section limits warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, squiz WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) US$100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including, for consumers, liability for death or personal injury or for fraud.

12. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless squiz from and against any third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or applicable law, or from your infrastructure, data, or content.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others. On termination, your license ends and we will delete or return your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14. Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other's non-public information disclosed in connection with the Service and use it only as needed to perform under these Terms, except where disclosure is required by law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, will have exclusive jurisdiction — except where mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise. The payment relationship for paid plans is separately governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, which contain their own governing-law and dispute provisions.

16. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence (for example, in the EU/EEA and the UK), and nothing in these Terms limits or excludes those rights. Your right to cancel and any statutory cooling-off period are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will give reasonable notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the entire agreement between you and squiz regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
